Good News, Bad News: Fall 2015
It’s been quite awhile since I’ve posted here, a lot has been happening under the radar. We’re ready to announce some label additions, and unfortunately, one subtraction.
First the bad news: the Zerfas LP project will no longer be happening on TimeChange. I can’t provide more information at this time but will update you when I am able to do that. It’s our hope that there will still be a reissue. It just won’t be on our label.
And now for the good news.
Timechange is proud to confirm the following upcoming releases:
Chemotherapy 7″ EP. Back in 1983 a group of young Carmel, Indiana musicians recorded a fabulous hardcore punk EP at Gnome Park Studios. Only 300 copies were pressed and are now pricey collector’s items. We’ve received the go ahead from the band and are working directly with the reborn Gnome Park Studios to reissue this 7″. Currently the master tapes are in the legendary hands of Paul Mahern for preservation and remastering. Time frame is early 2015. More details in the weeks and months ahead.
Last Four Digits LP. We announced this moons ago and now it’s on the fast track. The LP will consist of archival tracks from their Hardly Music EP along with unreleased demos by the original band and five terrific tracks recorded by the second version of the band, known as Last Four (Five) Digits because personnel changes resulted in five members instead of the original four. There will also be some awesome digital bonus material from L45D’s concert at CBGB New York. Limited edition of 500 vinyl copies with an expected release date of spring 2012. Shown here is the bands’ EP on Hardly Music from 1981–and yes, all tracks on the vinyl will be vintage early 80’s.
Mystery CD Release! This will actually be our next release, out in November 2014. We’re finalizing the details with the band and will announce it shortly. Suffice to say it will be welcome to those who treasure Indiana rock music.
On the drawing boards for 2016 is also the long delayed Dancing Cigarettes Live DVD, which is expected to be available in spring 2016. Still more is in the hopper, stay tuned.
